WHY CHOOSE PRETTY PETALS & CO?
The majority of churches and wedding venues will only allow real, biodegradable petals to be used at weddings in their venue, whether this be for throwing confetti or aisle/walkway decoration.
Our preserved rose petals are all real petals and have been through an intricate preserving process in which dyes are added to ensure the colour of the petals remain prominent. All of our petals are top quality petals that are widely accepted at many wedding venues.
An increasingly popular trend over recent years is aisle decoration. Our rose petals are the perfect petal for creating either light scattering decoration, or a full coverage aisle. Our rose petals are available in 2 sizes with the normal roses being more suited to being used around candles or hurricanes and our large sized petals are perfect for creating that full coverage decor.
We have a range of colours available in our rose petals to give you a wider option of choice and choose one that matches your wedding colour theme.
Which petals should I buy?
Assuming that you are purchasing rose petals to use as part of your decor, what you desire to use them for depends on which size petal we recommend.
To create a light coverage aisle or to scatter around candles or hurricanes, our normal roses would be the correct petal. They are smaller in size compared to our large roses and create an elegant effect.
The large preserved rose petals are what we would recommend that you purchase if you’re looking to create more of a full coverage aisle. The amount of petals needed totally varies and is totally dependent on the length of your aisle and just how full coverage you want your aisle to be.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us regarding quantities needed in order to fulfil your wedding desires.
Are the preserved rose petals real petals?
Yes! Our preserved rose petals are real petals. The preservation of real rose petals is a method which enables you to enjoy the petals for much longer. They feel just as silky soft as real rose petals, shine just as beautifully, they don’t discolour or wilt and they will last for 8-12 months. They are great for using as wedding table confetti including aisle decor and even as your wedding confetti.
How are the petals preserved?
Rose petals are preserved by using an advanced technical process that replaces the natural moisture in real roses by a liquid mixture of glycerine, water and dyes. The result is a beautiful product that feels just as fresh rose petals do.
When you choose Pretty Petals & Co preserved rose petals, you are choosing quality petals. Due to the suppleness of the product, the petals can even be put into confetti bags which is great when sending out wedding invitations, christening invitations and even birth announcements. We supply preserved roses in many different colours, please browse our website to find one that suits your wedding colour theme.
Do any of your petals contain dyes?
All of our preserved rose petals do contain dyes, this is what gives them their vibrant attractive appearance, Fear not, the lighter shades have no risk of running onto dresses or suits but we do urge you to keep in mind that darker coloured petals can cause stains just as fresh rose petals would. Despite having dye added to them, our preserved rose petals are still biodegradable and therefore they are accepted at most venues. Some of our mixed petals contain both larkspur and preserved rose petals but our Secret Garden range is dye free. All of our petals are 100% natural and biodegradable.
How much should I buy?
For aisles, our usual rule of thumb is 1 litre covers 2m of aisle. So get out your tape measure and calculator and it will make this question very easy. Don't forget that you may need to cover both sides of an aisle, dependant on your chosen scattering style, so you will need double. If your aisle is particularly complex or you have any more questions then contact us via email so that we can advise you the best amount of biodegradable petals to order.
If you're using your rose petals as confetti, then we recommend 1 litre of our wedding confetti mixes usually covers 10 people allowing a small handful per person. How much confetti for 100 guests? Simple, 10 litres will cover 100 small handfuls of throwing confetti for your wedding guests to use.
When should I order my petals?
Good question. All of our petals are preserved to last as long as 12 months! So you can pre-order your petals up to a year before your big day.
We have lots of great wedding confetti ideas, see our Gallery page for more tips on creating the perfect confetti moment. At present you can not find our wedding confetti on Amazon but we do have both Ebay and Etsy shops.
